Preface

Now that the game has been updated, what choices should ordinary men make? This is what I have learned from life, and I hope it will be useful.

Young men today are caught in a contradiction. Since childhood, we have been taught to take responsibility, date, marry, and have children at the "appropriate age," and struggle for our families throughout our lives. That, we are told, is a happy life. Our fathers did indeed follow this path, in an era when bride prices were only a few thousand yuan and housing prices had not yet skyrocketed.

Reality, however, is completely at odds with our expectations. We cannot win a woman's affection, and even if we do, marriage remains difficult, let alone raising children. With bad luck, an otherwise honest and dutiful man may even be convicted of rape and land himself three years of prison meals. This rift between ideals and reality is painful.

I know many young men troubled by love: some pursue someone desperately without success, heartbroken; some become groveling admirers and spend all their money without even holding hands; some fall in love, obsess over gains and losses, and lose their drive; some suffer a breakup, become disheartened, and never recover; others marry early only to become mortgage slaves crushed by life.

All these experiences, including my own, have led me to one conclusion:

Men who date before thirty mostly come to a bad end.

Why is that?

Yet their ideas remain stuck in the last century. This is a tragedy.

In fact, under the current rules of the game, the wisest choice for an ordinary man who wants to achieve something is to avoid dating before thirty.

Some will say, "That is far too absolute. What reasons do you have?"

Let me explain them one by one.
